Universal Clipboard introduced as part of Apple’s Continuity features allows you to easily transfer text, images, and other items between Apple devices. Once enabled, it allows users to move content from one device to another, using existing copy and paste commands.
According to Apple’s own page on the feature, you’ll need to make sure you meet all the following requirements to use the Universal Clipboard:
- Devices running iOS 10 or later and macOS Sierra or later.
- Both devices signed into iCloud (and using the same Apple ID).
- Bluetooth turned on.
- Wi-Fi turned on.
- Handoff turned on.
How to enable Handoff in iOS and macOS
iOS: Settings > General > Handoff
macOS: System Prefs > General > Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices
To test it simply try copy and paste from one device to another.
